What started as a homemade evaporator under a make shift tent in Nate's driveway, has turned into a hop house converted into a full blown sugar shack. It is a family run business with regular assistance from Nate's father, Lee, and brother in law, Kiel. Cave Country Maple has expanded to making bourbon flavored maple syrup, maple candy, maple sugar, and maple cotton candy.

HiDiddle Homestead
HiDiddle Homestead was founded in January 2016 when Jessica, along with then boyfriend, Dan, sister, Polly, and parents, Mary Lynn and Mike bought a 26 acre property in Westerlo, New York. The name is an homage to Hi Diddle Farm which had been a 3 generation Registered Jersey farm where we raised. Our logo is a unicorn jumping over the moon, as we joked that raising unicorns is the only way to make a profit farming. There have been a few milestones since which have caused radical changes in our focus. Mike died, Jess and Dan got married and begat our 2 red headed overlords, and Polly got a job managing a sheep flock in Pennsylvania and took her sheep with her to form HiDiddle Homestead at Maruska Farm. Crafting has always been a passion with us and new challenges are needed when other challenges are mastered, or as we say, we have crafting ADD. This led to Mary Lynn becoming a vendor at the TriCounty Farmers Market at the Gypsys Closet in Freehold, selling quilts, jewelry, jam, and whatever else we feel like making to fill the booth, which we now have at all events at the Closet, year round. We make custom tshirt, memory, or award ribbon quilts and pillows upon request, along with jewelry, painting, macrame, weaving, knitting, crochet, x stitch, sewing, etc., etc. The latest obsession is we are starting a line of soaps with Jersey milk from Dreamroad farm. We hope to debut this soon! When our nieces opened their farm store at Dreamroad Farm in Johnstown they started carrying our jam and jelly, which then led to it being carried in the Plaid Farm Store in Amsterdam. We are honored to have them do so.

The Mad Batter Cookiez
Amsterdam, New York 12010
Jennifer Nasadoski
I am your resident Mad Batter, normal folks call me Jen. I am a full time Special Education Teacher, Pittie Mom (Woof!), Daughter, Sister, Lung Cancer Awareness Supporter, President/Founder of The LJ Nasadoski Memorial Fund (Yes! The Holiday Light Train was me!), Mentor, Lake Life Enthusiast, DIYer, Antiquer.... The list could seriously go on! But now here I am.... The creator of these WILD and CRAZY, OVERLOADED, OVERSTUFFED, MASSIVELY FAT !!!! My cookie creations are created out of a home kitchen that is % dedicated, and separate from my personal kitchen, to just my cookie insanity. Made fresh from high quality ingredients and sourced as much as I can from local small businesses. I started my cookie building just over 4 years ago. At the time, my father had fallen ill and was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. Cookies were put to the side and my sole attention was to get my father back on his feet. In December of 2018, my father lost his fight to Lung Cancer. Shortly thereafter is when I created The L.J. Nasadoski Memorial Fund. Surprisingly, The Memorial Fund is what drove me to bring my cookies back. We all know about our dear friend COVID (insert sarcasm). As a HOLIDAY TIME LOVER , I wanted to bring the spirit of Christmas back to the streets while ensuring the safety of our community by creating The Holiday Light Train. I also wanted COOKIES for everyone to enjoy on their adventures to find beautiful Christmas lights.....And here I am today
